Sherlock Holmes in most incarnations, Benedict Cumberbatch and his equally brilliant colleague Daniel Craig. Suits (tv), White Collar (tv), Doctor Who, comics, manga (mostly Eroica Yori Ai o Komete / From Eroica With Love), as well as spies (fictional and real life espionage), Ludwig II, creepy stuff and whatever else should strike my fancy!

“Did you know, I’m delighted to meet you, Watson. I think you’ll like the flat. It’s in Baker Street by the way.”
Then, right away, moves on to say:
Holmes: “Do you mind if I play the violin?”
Watson: “No, go right ahead.”
Holmes: “No, I don’t mean now. I mean when we are sharing the flat”
There is not even a moment of doubt that Watson could say ‘no’. It’s very cute! The entire show is and much as I love more canon-based adaptations, I have so much love for Ronald Howard and Howard Marion-Crawford and their Holmes and Watson! ♥
Nothing can beat the Russian Sherlock Holmes when it comes to cuteness, but these two are a close second. They genuinely like and admire each other and enjoy being together and having adventures and are just very much adorable!
Also - this is not a bumbling, useless Watson and this Holmes really appreciates him, his company, help, mind and skills.
So, if you haven’t done so already - give it a try! It might be old and b/w and by far not as shiny as Sherlock or Elementary, but it’s drama-free you may still fall in love with it, or even just discover another Sherlock Holmes worth spending your time with!

Missing films: Hills Like White Elephants, since I can’t find it anywhere, To Kill a King (my DVD is MIA) and Burlesque Fairytales (I really wish that they could find a distributor. I would love to see that one!).

And yeah, I noticed that my blog is mostly Sherlock, Suits, Benedict and/or Gabriel related with a very few other things on the side. I quite enjoy my focus, so I don’t see that changing any time soon either :)

Because it’s not just the Suits cast that is insanely attractive! No, honestly, the locations and the way TPTB film things is amazing. There is not one episode in the entire season where I don’t get a “wow” effect at some point.

Time to take a closer look at the absolutely fantastic Gina Torres who plays the wonderful Jessica Pearson. Jessica is managing and founding partner of Pearson Hardman, Harvey’s and Mike’s boss and just absolutely brilliant. She knows what she wants and how to get it, expects the most of her employees, but she is also fair and supports them if it becomes necessary. And, not to forget, it is thanks to her that we have Harvey today!
Unfortunately (or fortunately. We will find out about that very soon), Mike’s future is in her hands now as well, going with the promos…
And Gina Torres is not only very talented, but also absolutely gorgeous!

And with that we have covered the most important characters and their actors, I think. Maybe, if I will feel very bored one day, I may still do Jenny. We will see. Not Trevor thought. Maybe in season 2, once he finally got what he has been asking for since he set up Mike first. But not before.

The one lawyer at Pearson Hardman that everybody loves to hate – Louis Litt, truly brilliantly played by Rick Hoffman. Louis is junior partner and a capable lawyer in his own right, otherwise he would hardly be with Pearson Hardman (not to forget that Jessica explicitly stated that she appreciates his work). But his ways are rather often questionable. He often bends the rules to get what he wants, with no regards to anyone but the firm and himself.
He also seems to be envious of Harvey and frequently likes to cause trouble for our favourite team, especially Mike (and then, rather often, has to deal with Harvey again, who really doesn’t appreciate it when Louis messes with his associate). Not being the hero of the show, his odds to win against Harvey and Mike are not all that good. The same for the girls of Pearson Hardman. He just doesn’t stand a chance.
Louis is fun to watch and I certainly look forward to see how he will develop during the course of the second season!
